1. Who we are
This online shop, maisongjvs.com, is operated by:

“We”, “us” and “our” mean Particule A SRL. “You” means the consumer placing an order on the Website.
2. Scope
These Terms apply to every order placed through the Website by a consumer — a natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business or profession. By placing an order, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and accept these Terms. Business customers (B2B) are subject to separate conditions.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version applicable to your order is the one in force when you place it.
3. Our products
GJvS creates silk scarves and related pieces, printed and hand-finished in Como, Italy. Our silk is chosen for its softness and luminosity.
Our prints are derived from macro nature photography. Because each piece is hand-finished and because screen colours vary from one device to another, slight variations in colour, framing or finish between the images on the Website and the item you receive are normal and are part of the character of the work — not a defect.
Most pieces are sold from stock. When a piece is temporarily unavailable, it may be offered as a pre-order or via our waitlist (see §7).
Product availability is shown on the Website and may change without notice. We reserve the right to limit quantities.
4. Prices
- All prices are shown in euros (€) and include Belgian VAT at 21%, unless stated otherwise.
- Prices exclude delivery costs, which are shown separately before you confirm your order.
- The price applicable to your order is the one displayed at the moment of purchase. Obvious pricing errors do not bind us; if a price is clearly incorrect, we will contact you before processing.
5. How an order is formed
- You add items to your basket and follow the checkout steps.
- Before confirming, you can review and correct your order. Placing the order by clicking the “place order” button is a binding offer to buy.
- We send you an acknowledgement of receipt by email. This confirms we received your order — it is not yet acceptance.
- The contract is concluded when we send you a separate order confirmation / dispatch confirmation. If we cannot accept your order (e.g. item unavailable), we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
We store the contract text and send it to you by email. You can also keep these Terms for your records.
6. Payment
- Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We accept MasterCard, Visa, AmEx, Dispatch, Bancontact, Apple Pay, etc. ⚑.
- Your card details are entered directly within Stripe’s secure environment; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Payment is taken at the time of purchase. For pre-order items, payment is taken in full at the time of order ⚑ — or, under a charge-later model, your card is saved and charged when we dispatch.
- The goods remain our property until full payment has been received.
7. Availability, pre-orders & delivery
Availability. Most pieces are sold from stock and dispatched quickly. When an item is temporarily out of stock, it may be offered either as a pre-order or via our waitlist, as explained below.
Pre-orders. We open a pre-order on an item only when a new production batch is already confirmed to arrive within a short window. In that case, the product page shows a “Pre-order” button together with an estimated delivery date, which we commit to keep within 15 days of your order. Payment for pre-orders is taken in full at the time of order. Your statutory right of withdrawal applies to pre-orders exactly as to any other order (see §8).
Waitlist (“Notify me”). When the next batch is further away than our pre-order window, an out-of-stock item is offered only via a waitlist: you may leave your email to be notified when it returns. No payment is taken and you are under no obligation — this is a notification, not a sale.
Shipping. We ship to the EU only via Sendcloud and our carrier partners ([e.g. bpost, DHL, GLS ⚑]). Delivery costs are shown before you confirm your order and are free above €200.
Delivery times.
- In-stock items: 2–5 business days after dispatch.
- Pre-order items: by the estimated date shown at checkout, within 15 days.
These are estimates, not guaranteed deadlines, but in all cases we will deliver within 30 days of the contract unless otherwise agreed. If we cannot, you may set an additional reasonable period and, if we still fail, cancel the order for a full refund.
Risk in the goods passes to you when you (or someone you designate, other than the carrier) take physical possession of them.
If a parcel is returned to us as undeliverable through no fault of ours, we will contact you to arrange redelivery; additional shipping costs may apply.
8. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
As a consumer buying at a distance, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days, without giving any reason.
Time limit. The period runs from the day you (or a designated third party) receive the goods — or, for an order delivered in several parts, from receipt of the last item.
How to withdraw. Before the period ends, tell us your decision by a clear statement — by email to contact@maisongjvs.com or using the model withdrawal form in the Annex. We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal without delay.
Returning the goods. Send the goods back within 14 days of notifying us. The goods must be returned unworn, undamaged, with all tags and in their original packaging. You may handle the item only as you would in a shop to check its nature and characteristics; you are liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond that.
Return costs. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods, unless we state otherwise.
Refund. We refund all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs (but not any extra cost of a non-standard delivery method you chose), within 14 days of being informed of your withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have provided proof of return. We refund using the same payment method you used, at no cost to you.
Pre-orders and withdrawal. Because our items are catalogue designs and are not personalised to the individual customer, the full 14-day right of withdrawal applies to every order, including pre-orders. For a pre-order, you may also withdraw at any time before delivery; if you do, we refund any amount already paid in full.
⚑ Review note. The made-to-order/personalisation exception of Art. VI.53 CDE is deliberately not relied upon here, as items are catalogue designs without customer personalisation. If a genuinely bespoke line is introduced later (e.g. monogrammed or customer-specified pieces), a separate clause excluding withdrawal for those items should be added and confirmed with your lawyer.
9. Returns, exchanges & refunds
Beyond the legal right of withdrawal above, our practical returns process (addresses, packaging, exchanges, faulty items) is set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Where the two differ, the more favourable outcome for you applies.
10. Legal guarantee of conformity
Independently of the right of withdrawal, you benefit from the statutory legal guarantee of conformity of 2 years for consumer goods, under Belgian law and EU Directive (EU) 2019/771. If an item is not as described, defective or not fit for purpose, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced and, where applicable, to a price reduction or refund, at no cost to you. To make a claim, contact us at contact@maisongjvs.com with your order details and a description of the issue.
This statutory guarantee is not affected by any commercial guarantee we may offer.
11. Our liability
We are liable for foreseeable loss arising from our failure to meet these Terms or from our negligence. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses, or for events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory consumer rights.
12. Intellectual property
All content on the Website — including the Maison GJvS or GJvS name and logo, the scarf designs, the source photography, text and images — is owned by or licensed to Particule A SRL and protected by intellectual property law. Buying a product does not transfer any rights in the designs or imagery. You may not reproduce, resell commercially, or create derivative works from them without our written permission.
13. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example natural events, strikes, supply or transport disruption, or failures of public networks). If such an event occurs, we will contact you and may extend delivery times or, if the delay is substantial, allow you to cancel for a full refund.
14. Your personal data
We process your personal data in line with our Privacy and Cookie Policy, which explain what we collect, why, and your rights under the GDPR.
15. Complaints & dispute resolution
We hope you’ll always be happy, but if something goes wrong, contact us first at contact@maisongjvs.com — most issues are resolved quickly and directly.

16. Applicable law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. As a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence within the EU. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent Belgian courts, without prejudice to your right to bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence where the law allows.
17. General
- If any clause is found invalid, the rest remains in force.
- Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
- These Terms are available in [English and French ⚑]; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
